Circuits, hotels, excursions and transfers in Fortaleza.
CircuitsHotelsExcursions
Fortaleza is a large coastal city in Brazil's Northeast and the gateway to the Ceará dune beaches, including Cumbuco, Canoa Quebrada and the wind-sports magnet Jericoacoara. The city offers a broad beachfront hotel strip, an active dining and nightlife scene and reliable sun, while its real programme value lies in the surrounding coastline of dunes, lagoons and fishing villages reached by buggy. It anchors beach-and-dune itineraries across the region.
Hot and sunny year-round with warm seas. The drier, sunnier window runs roughly July to December; the wetter months are around February to May. The strong wind season, prized by kite- and windsurfers, peaks in the second half of the year, making that period doubly attractive.
MICE & groups
Fortaleza handles large congresses and incentives, anchored by the Centro de Eventos do Ceará, one of the larger event complexes in the country, plus a substantial beachfront hotel base. It suits sizeable conventions as well as beach-oriented incentive groups.
Incentives
Signature rewards include full-day buggy expeditions across the dunes, lagoon-side hammock lunches, kitesurfing clinics and beach-club takeovers. Excursions to Jericoacoara add a remote, high-impact finale for active incentive programs.
Access & logistics
Fortaleza's Pinto Martins International (FOR) connects through São Paulo, Brasília and other hubs, with seasonal European services and charters. The airport is close to the city, around 6–10 km, while the region's signature beaches lie 30 minutes to several hours away by road or buggy.
Trade notes
Plan two to three nights in the city, more when adding Jericoacoara. Fortaleza combines with Natal, Recife and the wider Northeast beach circuit and suits European sun-and-wind markets in particular. Good value relative to the southern beach destinations.
