Circuits, hotels, excursions and transfers in Salvador da Bahia.
CircuitsHotelsExcursions
Salvador da Bahia was Brazil's first colonial capital and the heartland of Afro-Brazilian culture, music and cuisine. Its UNESCO-listed Pelourinho district, baroque churches and the cliff-top Cidade Alta give strong half-day touring, while the Bahian coast and Recôncavo add beach and cultural depth. For programs it delivers history, rhythm and gastronomy in a way no other Brazilian city matches, and serves as the gateway to the southern Bahia beaches and Morro de São Paulo.
Warm and tropical year-round, with sea temperatures suitable for swimming in every season. The wetter months run roughly April to July, while spring and summer (September–March) are sunnier and busier. Carnival, one of the largest street celebrations in the world, falls in February or March and drives peak demand.
MICE & groups
Salvador handles incentives and mid-to-large congresses, with a convention centre and a range of beach and city hotels. Its culture and cuisine make it a distinctive congress and incentive host. Larger conventions are feasible, though the strongest fit is culturally themed group programs.
Incentives
Signature rewards include private percussion and capoeira performances, Bahian cooking experiences, historic-church gala venues in the Pelourinho and sunset boat trips in the Bay of All Saints. Beach days and excursions to Morro de São Paulo extend active programs.
Access & logistics
Salvador International (SSA) connects mainly through São Paulo, Rio and Brasília, with seasonal and regional international flights; it sits about 25–30 km from the historic centre and beach hotels. Onward travel to Morro de São Paulo is by catamaran from the city terminal or by light aircraft.
Trade notes
Two to three nights suits most programs. Salvador anchors any Northeast or Afro-Brazilian-themed itinerary and combines with Rio, the beaches and Morro de São Paulo. Strong appeal in European and Latin American markets and among culturally motivated travellers.
