Circuits Hotels Excursions

Santiago de Chile is the country's principal gateway and the natural starting point for most Chilean programs. Set in a central valley at the foot of the Andes, it pairs a modern urban core with heritage districts, gastronomy and museums.

Its main operational value is connectivity: it concentrates international arrivals and domestic flights to Atacama, Patagonia and Easter Island. Nearby wine valleys and Andean ski resorts extend its appeal as a short-stay or connecting destination.

Destination guide for the trade

When to go

Santiago has a Mediterranean climate, with warm, dry summers (December–February) and mild, wetter winters (June–August). Spring and autumn offer comfortable temperatures and clear views of the cordillera. Winter opens skiing at the nearby Andean resorts.

MICE & groups

Santiago offers genuine congress infrastructure and a broad hotel base with convention capacity, making it suitable for events and larger groups. The city combines meeting space, category hotels and professional support services. It is the logical host for congresses that then feed programs across the rest of the country.

Incentives

The most credible incentive experiences include private vineyard days in the Maipo and Casablanca valleys with pairings, signature dining and excursions into the cordillera. The proximity of the Andes allows day trips and winter activities. It serves as the opening act for wider programs.

Access & logistics

Reached via Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (SCL), around 20 km and 30–45 minutes from the centre depending on traffic. It is the country's main hub, with frequent domestic connections to Calama, Puerto Montt, Punta Arenas and Easter Island. Roads to the valleys and the coast are fast and well maintained.

Trade notes

Budget at least two nights for the city and one wine valley. It works as the axis for almost every Chilean program, linking Atacama, Patagonia and Easter Island. Broad fit with European, North American and Latin-American markets.
