Roughly 3-hour excursion to Monkey Island, on the Madre de Dios river, about 30 km from Puerto Maldonado, in the Madre de Dios region. Hotel pick-up and transfer to the river port to travel by motorized boat to the island, a rescue centre where several primate species saved from illegal trafficking are being reintegrated into their habitat.
