This itinerary is an invitation to experience Peru through adventure, contrasting the vastness of the coastal desert with the majesty of the Andes. The experience begins with the adrenaline of descending dunes in Huacachina and exploring marine wildlife in the Ballestas Islands.
The journey continues at high altitude, paddling on the serene waters of Piuray Lagoon and culminates with the challenge of a trek over 5,000 meters to conquer Rainbow Mountain. These experiences are intertwined with a visit to the Machu Picchu citadel, creating a perfect balance between action and awe.

Day-by-day itinerary

Day1
Arrival in Lima

Reception at Jorge Chávez International Airport and transfer to the selected hotel for a proper rest.

Day2
Desert Adventure: Paracas and Huacachina

A very early departure from Lima to Paracas for a boat navigation to the Ballestas Islands, observing the Candelabro geoglyph and local wildlife. Afterwards, transfer to Ica for lunch and a wine and pisco tasting. The afternoon culminates with a thrilling excursion in dune buggies and sandboarding on the dunes of the Huacachina oasis. Return to Lima at nightfall.

Day3
Flight to Cusco and Acclimatization

Transfer to the Lima airport to take the flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, assistance and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for proper acclimatization to the altitude of 3,400 meters.

Day4
Kayaking on the Lagoon of the Gods: Piuray

In the morning, transfer to the Piuray Outdoor Center. After a safety briefing, you will begin a kayaking journey of about an hour and a half on the calm waters of the lagoon, surrounded by stunning Andean landscapes. The experience includes lunch on-site before returning to Cusco.

Day5
Machu Picchu, the Eternal Citadel

Full-day excursion to Machu Picchu. Transfer to the station to board the train to Aguas Calientes. A bus will take you up to the citadel for a guided visit of its main enclosures. After exploring the site, you will descend for lunch and take the train back. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel in Cusco.

Day6
Ascent to Vinicunca, the Rainbow Mountain

Early morning departure towards the south of Cusco. After breakfast en route, the ascent trek to Rainbow Mountain, Vinicunca, begins, located at over 5,000 meters above sea level. After time to admire the landscape, you will descend for lunch before returning to Cusco in the late afternoon.

Departure from Cusco

At the coordinated time, transfer from the hotel to the airport to take your departure flight.
