An exclusive three-night cruise aboard the yacht Dona Marieta, sailing the Rio Negro from Manaus into the heart of the Amazon.

From Marina Tauá the yacht sails past the Manaus riverbanks, the 1900 floating harbour brought from the UK and the market seen from the river to the meeting of the waters, where the Amazon and Negro rivers run side by side without mixing. The days combine speedboat rides through the January ecological park with alligator spotting at night, a visit to the Tatuios indigenous community in the Araras area, navigation among the more than 700 uninhabited islands of the Anavilhanas Archipelago, piranha fishing, swimming from an illuminated beach and a beach barbecue. On the final day, Acajatuba Lake brings a pink dolphin encounter and a floating-house family before the return to Manaus. On board, welcome champagne, an executive chef preparing Amazonian fish and local cuisine, and beverages arranged to guests' preferences.

Day-by-day itinerary

Day1

Day 1: Boarding in Manaus and navigation on the Rio Negro

Embark at Marina Tauá in Manaus and board the yacht Dona Marieta. Welcome drinks and staff introduction, cabin accommodation, and a short briefing on the safety procedures and the itinerary, then navigation begins. Sailing down the Rio Negro along the left shore, past the Manaus riverbanks, the 1900 floating harbour brought from the UK and the Manaus market seen from the river, to the meeting of the waters, where the Amazon and Negro rivers run side by side without mixing. Continue by speedboat to the January ecological park to see wildlife, including birds and the flooded forest (during the high-water season), and at night explore the sounds of the forest and spot alligators. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day2

Day 2: Rio Negro, the Araras community and the Anavilhanas Archipelago

Navigation up the Rio Negro for about three hours to the Araras area, home to the Tatuios indigenous community — an opportunity to see their way of life and culture, with dance presentations and handcrafted souvenirs. Continue through the Anavilhanas Archipelago, a vast freshwater island park with more than 700 uninhabited islands, with sunset from the upper deck. Overnight on board.
Day3

Day 3: Anavilhanas islands, piranha fishing and beach barbecue

After breakfast, a scenic speedboat ride to explore the islands and observe typical wildlife and landscapes, with a chance for piranha fishing, then back to the yacht for lunch. In the afternoon, continue navigating among the islands to an illuminated beach for swimming and leisure. At night an optional jungle trekking excursion (about 2 hours) is offered, followed by a barbecue on the beach. Overnight on board.
Day4

Day 4: Acajatuba Lake, pink dolphins and return to Manaus

A short navigation to Acajatuba Lake brings you to a local family living in a floating house and a pink dolphin encounter, where guests can feed the dolphins by hand and also see Pirarucus (giant fish). Back on board, lunch around 12:00 to 13:00, then about three hours' navigation down the river to Manaus, disembarking at the marina around 17:00. End of our services.

Booking & policies

Are the prices shown net or retail?

Rates are net (wholesale) and reserved for travel agencies and tour operators, who sign in to see them and add their own margin. Public visitors see an indicative retail “from” price; the net rate is never shown outside the agency portal.

How is a booking confirmed?

Most bookings are confirmed immediately and the voucher is emailed within minutes. When a service shows “In process”, RUMBO LIBRE is confirming final availability with the receptive operator at destination — usually within 24 to 48 business hours.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations follow Clause 7 of the Terms: more than 30 days before the service, no penalty and a full refund; 15 to 30 days, 25%; 8 to 14 days, 50%; 3 to 7 days, 75%; less than 72 hours before commencement or a no-show, 100%. Certain destinations — Patagonia, the Amazon region and high-demand dates in peak season — apply stricter terms, stated in the quotation. The schedule above is indicative: the conditions that apply to each booking are those confirmed in the quotation, and may be stricter in high season, on public holidays or where a supplier applies its own policy.

Can dates or passenger names be changed after confirmation?

Amendment requests must reach RUMBO LIBRE at least 72 business hours before the service begins. Changes are managed with the receptive operator subject to availability, and any resulting rate difference applies. For private services, a name change may require re-issuing the booking at the current rate.
