Desierto y Mar

At the coordinated time, departure to the bus station bound for Ica. On arrival, assistance and the start of the city tour of 'the City of Eternal Sun': the main square, the cathedral and city hall, the shrine of the Señor de Luren —patron saint of Ica— and an artisan winery, where fine wines and pisco are made. Next, the Huacachina Lagoon, a peaceful natural oasis surrounded by dunes, palm trees and huarango trees. Then the thrill of crossing the Ica desert in a powerful dune buggy, 'flying' over the golden dunes, and sandboarding down a large dune guided by the instructor. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Ica. Meals: none.

Early in the morning, departure from the hotel bound for Paracas. Board a fast speedboat over the waters of the Mar de Grau to visit the Ballestas Islands, a group of islands home to important marine wildlife: large colonies of guano birds, Humboldt penguins and sea lions, among other species. The famous Paracas Candelabra is visible on the way. Return to Paracas and free time for activities of your own interest. At the coordinated hour, transfer to the bus station for the return to Lima. Meals: breakfast.
