Santiago and Puerto Natales

Santiago & Puerto Natales 7 days / 6 nights
Multi-destination

A seven-day journey that combines the city of Santiago with the landscapes of Chilean Patagonia.

It begins with three nights in Santiago, with a panoramic city tour of the capital — from La Moneda and the Plaza de Armas in the historic centre to Cerro Santa Lucía, Barrio Bellavista and the modern eastern districts — and a full-day excursion to the coast, to Valparaíso, with its hills and funiculars, and Viña del Mar. A domestic flight then heads south to Puerto Natales, the gateway to Torres del Paine National Park. A full day in the park takes in the Cueva del Milodón, Laguna Amarga, the Cuernos del Paine, the Salto Grande waterfall and Lago Grey, with its floating icebergs calved from Glaciar Grey. A free day in Puerto Natales leaves time to enjoy the surroundings. Accommodation is offered in 3-, 4- and 5-star categories.

Day-by-day itinerary

Day1

Day 1: Arrival in Santiago

Arrival at Santiago's Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (SCL), where a private transfer takes you to your selected hotel in the city. The journey takes about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the hotel location and traffic, and covers close to 20 km in a comfortable, climate-controlled vehicle.
Day2

Day 2: Panoramic city tour of Santiago

After breakfast, a panoramic city tour of Santiago from the hotel, contrasting the historic centre with the modern eastern districts. It takes in Avenida Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins (the Alameda) and the neoclassical La Moneda presidential palace; the Plaza de Armas with the Cathedral, the Central Post Office and the Municipality; Cerro Santa Lucía; the Parque Forestal, the Museo de Bellas Artes and Barrio Lastarria; and, across the Mapocho river, Barrio Bellavista. It ends in Providencia, Las Condes and Vitacura, with the Parque Bicentenario, before returning to the hotel. Approximately 08:30/09:00 to 13:30/14:00.
Day3

Day 3: Valparaíso and Viña del Mar

After breakfast, a full-day excursion from the hotel to the coast. Crossing the Curacaví and Casablanca valleys, known for their wine, the tour reaches Valparaíso, with views from natural viewpoints and a photo stop at La Sebastiana, Pablo Neruda's house-museum (entrance not included). It explores the historic quarters aboard a traditional funicular and around the Cerros Alegre and Concepción, with the Paseo Yugoslavo and the Paseo Atkinson. It continues to Viña del Mar — the Casino, the gardens and avenues, the Reloj de Flores, the Museo Fonck with its Easter Island moái, and the Quinta Vergara — before returning to Santiago. Approximately 08:30–09:00 to 16:30–17:00.
Day4

Day 4: Santiago – Puerto Natales

After breakfast, private transfer from your hotel in Santiago to Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (SCL) for the domestic flight south to Puerto Natales. On arrival at Puerto Natales airport, you are met and transferred to your hotel, with a first impression of the surrounding Patagonian landscapes.
Day5

Day 5: Torres del Paine National Park

After breakfast, a full-day excursion (lunch included) from Puerto Natales to Torres del Paine National Park. A first stop at the Cueva del Milodón, an archaeological site where remains of the extinct milodón were found. The route continues to Laguna Amarga, the park's gateway, from where — weather permitting — the Torres del Paine come into view, then to the Cuernos del Paine and the Salto Grande waterfall, where the turquoise waters of the Río Paine fall. The final stop is Lago Grey: a walk through a coigüe forest and across a suspension bridge over the Río Pingo leads to its grey pebble beach, with floating icebergs calved from Glaciar Grey and the Paine Grande massif behind. Approximately 07:00–07:30 to 17:30–18:00.
Day6

Day 6: Free day in Puerto Natales

Free day to enjoy the surroundings of Puerto Natales at your own pace.
Day7

Day 7: Departure

At the indicated time, transfer from your hotel in Puerto Natales to the airport, with a last view of the Patagonian landscapes before your departure flight.

Booking & policies

Are the prices shown net or retail?

Rates are net (wholesale) and reserved for travel agencies and tour operators, who sign in to see them and add their own margin. Public visitors see an indicative retail “from” price; the net rate is never shown outside the agency portal.

How is a booking confirmed?

Most bookings are confirmed immediately and the voucher is emailed within minutes. When a service shows “In process”, RUMBO LIBRE is confirming final availability with the receptive operator at destination — usually within 24 to 48 business hours.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations follow Clause 7 of the Terms: more than 30 days before the service, no penalty and a full refund; 15 to 30 days, 25%; 8 to 14 days, 50%; 3 to 7 days, 75%; less than 72 hours before commencement or a no-show, 100%. Certain destinations — Patagonia, the Amazon region and high-demand dates in peak season — apply stricter terms, stated in the quotation. The schedule above is indicative: the conditions that apply to each booking are those confirmed in the quotation, and may be stricter in high season, on public holidays or where a supplier applies its own policy.

Can dates or passenger names be changed after confirmation?

Amendment requests must reach RUMBO LIBRE at least 72 business hours before the service begins. Changes are managed with the receptive operator subject to availability, and any resulting rate difference applies. For private services, a name change may require re-issuing the booking at the current rate.
