Day-by-day itinerary

Day1

Day 1: Arrival in Lima

Reception at Jorge Chávez International Airport and transfer to the hotel.

Day2

Day 2: Lima: Colonial and Modern History

A tour of Lima's most representative places. It begins with a view of the Huaca Pucllana, then explores the historic center, visiting the Plaza Mayor and the Santo Domingo Convent.

Day3

Day 3: Journey to Paracas

Transfer to the station to take a bus to Paracas Bay. Upon arrival, assistance and transfer to the hotel. Free afternoon to enjoy the coastal environment.

Day4

Day 4: Ballestas Islands and Return to Lima

In the morning, a boat excursion to the Ballestas Islands to observe sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and guano birds. In the afternoon, transfer to the station to take the bus back to Lima.

Day5

Day 5: Flight to Cusco and Archaeological City Tour

Transfer to Lima airport for the flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, a tour of the city, starting at the Koricancha (Temple of the Sun), the Cathedral, and the archaeological sites of Sacsayhuamán, Kenko, Puka Pukará, and Tambomachay.

Day6

Day 6: Sacred Valley of the Incas

Excursion to the Sacred Valley. Visit the Pisac market and archaeological site. After a buffet lunch in Urubamba, the tour continues to the Ollantaytambo fortress. Accommodation in the Sacred Valley.

Day7

Day 7: Machu Picchu and Return to Cusco

Transfer to the station to board the train to Aguas Calientes. A bus will ascend to the citadel of Machu Picchu for a guided tour. After lunch, take the train back. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel in Cusco.

Day8

Day 8: Flight to the Amazon (Puerto Maldonado)

Transfer to Cusco airport for the flight to Puerto Maldonado. Upon arrival, reception and river transfer to the jungle lodge. In the afternoon, guided jungle activities and explorations begin.

Day9

Day 9: Immersion in the Amazon Rainforest

A full day dedicated to the excursions scheduled by the lodge, such as jungle hikes, navigation on oxbow lakes, bird watching, and other activities to discover the Amazonian biodiversity.

Day10

Day 10: Departure from Puerto Maldonado

After breakfast, river and land transfer to Puerto Maldonado airport for your flight back to Lima to connect with your international flight.

Are the prices shown net or retail?

Rates are net (wholesale) and reserved for travel agencies and tour operators, who sign in to see them and add their own margin. Public visitors see an indicative retail “from” price; the net rate is never shown outside the B2B Portal.

What happens after I book?

When you book, we receive your booking and start working on it: it shows as “In process” and we let you know of every update. Vouchers are sent once payments have been received.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations follow Clause 7 of the Terms: more than 30 days before the service, no penalty and a full refund; 15 to 30 days, 25%; 8 to 14 days, 50%; 3 to 7 days, 75%; less than 72 hours before commencement or a no-show, 100%. Certain destinations — Patagonia, the Amazon region and high-demand dates in peak season — apply stricter terms, stated in the quotation. The schedule above is indicative: the conditions that apply to each booking are those stated in the quotation, and may be stricter in high season, on public holidays or where a service has its own policy.

Can dates or passenger names be changed after booking?

Amendment requests must reach RUMBO LIBRE at least 72 business hours before the service begins. Changes are managed subject to availability, and any resulting rate difference applies. For private services, a name change may require re-issuing the booking at the current rate.
