Day 2: Cusco / Machu Picchu / Cusco

Live one of the world's most extraordinary experiences at Machu Picchu. The adventure begins with the transfer to the railway station, where you board one of the most spectacular trains, carrying you through picturesque Andean landscapes to the lush cloud forest and the charming town of Aguas Calientes. From there a bus winds up the mountain to the top, where the impressive view of the Machu Picchu citadel awaits, one of the 7 New Wonders of the Modern World. Take time to walk its passageways and lanes and marvel at the architectural grandeur of the Incas. After exploring the site, descend to Aguas Calientes to recover your energy with a pleasant lunch. At the appointed time, take the train back to Cusco. Overnight in Cusco. Meals: breakfast and lunch.
Day3

Day 3: Cusco / Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain / Cusco

A fascinating adventure begins very early: we pick you up from your hotel between 4 and 5 a.m. We set off by road for about two hours to the village of Cusipata, where you enjoy a basic buffet breakfast. We continue for roughly another hour to the Wasipata control point, from where you begin a walk of about an hour and a half, depending on each traveller's fitness, up to the Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain, at over 5,000 metres. At Vinicunca you have around thirty minutes for a brief explanation of the site's origin, followed by free time for photographs and to enjoy the scenery. We return by the same route, an estimated hour and a half back to the control point, then head to the restaurant in Cusipata for a basic buffet lunch. In the afternoon we return to Cusco, arriving around 4:30 to 5:00 p.m. near the main square. Overnight in Cusco. Meals: breakfast and lunch.
Day4

Day 4: Cusco / Humantay Lagoon / Cusco

We pick you up from your hotel between 4 and 5 a.m. to travel north of Cusco toward the picturesque village of Mollepata, at 2,900 metres above sea level. There, at a local restaurant, you enjoy breakfast while taking in the natural landscape around you. We continue along a dirt road for about an hour to Soraypampa, a tourist camp at 3,800 metres. From here we begin a walk to Humantay Lagoon of between one and a half and two hours, depending on the group's pace, reaching an altitude of 4,300 metres. At the lagoon you have free time to capture the striking views and take photographs. We return to Soraypampa for a buffet lunch at the local restaurant, after which the guide gives an explanation of the archaeological pieces of the area. Finally we return to Cusco, arriving around 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. near the main square. Overnight in Cusco. Meals: breakfast and lunch.

Booking & policies

Are the prices shown net or retail?

Rates are net (wholesale) and reserved for travel agencies and tour operators, who sign in to see them and add their own margin. Public visitors see an indicative retail “from” price; the net rate is never shown outside the agency portal.

How is a booking confirmed?

Most bookings are confirmed immediately and the voucher is emailed within minutes. When a service shows “In process”, RUMBO LIBRE is confirming final availability with the receptive operator at destination — usually within 24 to 48 business hours.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations follow Clause 7 of the Terms: more than 30 days before the service, no penalty and a full refund; 15 to 30 days, 25%; 8 to 14 days, 50%; 3 to 7 days, 75%; less than 72 hours before commencement or a no-show, 100%. Certain destinations — Patagonia, the Amazon region and high-demand dates in peak season — apply stricter terms, stated in the quotation. The schedule above is indicative: the conditions that apply to each booking are those confirmed in the quotation, and may be stricter in high season, on public holidays or where a supplier applies its own policy.

Can dates or passenger names be changed after confirmation?

Amendment requests must reach RUMBO LIBRE at least 72 business hours before the service begins. Changes are managed with the receptive operator subject to availability, and any resulting rate difference applies. For private services, a name change may require re-issuing the booking at the current rate.
