An eight-day circuit between Lima, the Sacred Valley and Cusco combining food, adventure and nature.

In Lima, a gastronomic walking tour of Barranco introduces ceviche and pisco sour. In the Sacred Valley, the centrepiece is Skylodge Adventure Suites: a via ferrata ascent and a night in transparent suites anchored to the mountain, with dinner. The programme continues with the guided visit to Machu Picchu by train via Aguas Calientes and, from Cusco, the excursion to the Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain, at over 5,000 m. Accommodation is offered across categories from economy to deluxe.

Day-by-day itinerary

Day1

Day 1: Arrival in Lima

Arrival in Lima. Meeting and assistance, and transfer to the hotel.
Day2

Day 2: Barranco gastronomic walking tour (half day)

A walking tour of about four hours through Barranco, one of Lima's most artistic and bohemian districts, exploring Peruvian cuisine. With local hosts you learn to prepare ceviche and pisco sour, tasting authentic flavours and learning the story behind each dish. The tour ends in central Barranco; the return to the hotel is at the passenger's own arrangement.
Day3

Day 3: Lima - Cusco - Sacred Valley

Transfer to the airport and flight to Cusco. Meeting and transfer to the hotel in the Sacred Valley. Rest of the day free to acclimatise to the altitude.
Day4

Day 4: Sacred Valley - Skylodge Adventure Suites

Morning free. Around 15:00, pickup at the hotel and transfer to Pachar. Safety briefing and gear handout, then a via ferrata ascent (about two hours) to the Skylodge Adventure Suites, where guests are welcomed with mate or coffee. A briefing on how the lodge works and, around 20:00, dinner. Overnight in the hanging suites.
Day5

Day 5: Skylodge - Sacred Valley

Wake-up with coffee or mate in the suite and breakfast in the dining room. Around 09:00, a via ferrata descent (about two hours) and transfer from Pachar to the hotel in the Sacred Valley.
Day6

Day 6: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu - Cusco

Transfer to the station for the train to Aguas Calientes, through Andean landscapes. From there, an ascent by bus to the Machu Picchu citadel, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Time to explore its precincts and lanes. Descent to Aguas Calientes for lunch and, at the appointed time, return by train to Cusco.
Day7

Day 7: Cusco - Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain - Cusco

Very early departure (pickup between 4 and 5 a.m.). About a two-hour transfer to Cusipata, with a basic buffet breakfast, and on to the Wasipata checkpoint. From there, a walk of about an hour and a half to the Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain, at over 5,000 m, with time for an explanation of the site and photographs. Return by the same path, a basic buffet lunch in Cusipata and return to Cusco in the mid-afternoon.
Day8

Day 8: Departure from Cusco

At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport for the return flight to Lima.

Booking & policies

Are the prices shown net or retail?

Rates are net (wholesale) and reserved for travel agencies and tour operators, who sign in to see them and add their own margin. Public visitors see an indicative retail “from” price; the net rate is never shown outside the agency portal.

How is a booking confirmed?

Most bookings are confirmed immediately and the voucher is emailed within minutes. When a service shows “In process”, RUMBO LIBRE is confirming final availability with the receptive operator at destination — usually within 24 to 48 business hours.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations follow Clause 7 of the Terms: more than 30 days before the service, no penalty and a full refund; 15 to 30 days, 25%; 8 to 14 days, 50%; 3 to 7 days, 75%; less than 72 hours before commencement or a no-show, 100%. Certain destinations — Patagonia, the Amazon region and high-demand dates in peak season — apply stricter terms, stated in the quotation. The schedule above is indicative: the conditions that apply to each booking are those confirmed in the quotation, and may be stricter in high season, on public holidays or where a supplier applies its own policy.

Can dates or passenger names be changed after confirmation?

Amendment requests must reach RUMBO LIBRE at least 72 business hours before the service begins. Changes are managed with the receptive operator subject to availability, and any resulting rate difference applies. For private services, a name change may require re-issuing the booking at the current rate.
