Circuits Hotels Excursions

São Paulo is Brazil's business and gastronomy capital and the country's principal air gateway, with the largest hotel inventory in Latin America. For leisure programs it works as an arrival or stopover city rather than a beach destination, offering world-class dining, museums such as MASP and Pinacoteca, and neighbourhoods from Jardins to Vila Madalena. Its scale, connectivity and event infrastructure also make it the natural base for MICE and shopping programs.

Destination guide for the trade

When to go

A year-round destination driven by business demand. Summer (December–March) is warm and rainy; winter (June–August) is mild and drier. Weekday rates are business-led and soften on weekends; the calendar peaks around major congresses and the November Formula 1 weekend at Interlagos.

MICE & groups

São Paulo is the country's leading MICE hub, with the broadest convention infrastructure and hotel supply. Venues such as Transamérica Expo Center, São Paulo Expo, Expo Center Norte and the Anhembi complex handle large congresses and trade fairs. It suits everything from board meetings to major conventions.

Incentives

Incentive angles centre on gastronomy — Michelin-listed restaurants, chef's-table dinners and market tours — plus contemporary art, rooftop venues, football at historic stadiums and high-end shopping. Helicopter transfers over the skyline are a signature reward in a city with heavy road traffic.

Access & logistics

Guarulhos International (GRU) is Brazil's busiest gateway, with direct links across the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia; Congonhas (CGH) handles domestic and shuttle traffic. GRU sits 25–40 km from the centre, with transfers of 45–90 minutes depending on traffic.

Trade notes

One to two nights is usually enough for leisure; MICE and gastronomy stays run longer. São Paulo pairs naturally with Rio and Iguaçu and serves as the connecting point for domestic flights. Fits all long-haul and regional source markets.
