Balcones de Calafate — 4x4 off-road traverse

Adventure service in a 4x4 vehicle to the Balcones de Calafate, on Cerro Huyliche, with hotel pick-up and a shared basis with driver. The route covers about 15 kilometres across the steppe and climbs to near 1,050 metres above sea level, with stops at natural viewpoints over El Calafate, the central body of Lago Argentino and the Boca del Diablo. On clear days Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre come into view. The traverse includes the Laberinto de Piedras, a Cretaceous-period formation. The service runs with guide included. Difficulty is low and approximate duration is 3 hours. It operates from October to May.
