CircuitsHotelsExcursions
Praia do Forte is a coastal village on the Linha Verde, north of Salvador, on the coast of Bahia. It is known for the Projeto Tamar, dedicated to the protection of sea turtles, for the Garcia d'Ávila castle and for its calm-water natural pools, around a central pedestrian street with shops and restaurants.
In a programme it works as a beach extension of Salvador, designed for those seeking rest and nature after the city, at an unhurried pace and suitable for families.
Praia do Forte has a tropical climate and warm sea throughout the year. The rainiest months are usually April to June, while from September to March sunny days predominate and it is the busiest season. Sea turtles nest and hatch from roughly September to March, so those months are the most interesting for a visit to the Projeto Tamar.
MICE & groups
Praia do Forte welcomes medium-sized groups and corporate retreats with a relaxed atmosphere well, although it is not a venue for large congresses. Its appeal lies in combining meetings and free time by the sea; the accommodation offer consists of pousadas and beach resorts, and the capacity of each should be checked. For large-scale events Salvador is more suitable.
Incentives
Credible incentive experiences include a guided visit to the Projeto Tamar, snorkelling trips in the natural pools, excursions to the Sapiranga reserve, horse-riding or cycling along the beach and an open-air dinner in the village. They are nature and relaxation rewards, suited to groups seeking a gentle pace.
Access & logistics
It is reached by road from Salvador, along the Linha Verde, on a journey of approximately one hour; Salvador airport (SSA) is the usual gateway. There is no commercial airport in the village, so transfers are arranged overland. Within Praia do Forte the centre is pedestrian and can be explored on foot.
Trade notes
Plan 2 or 3 nights as a beach extension after Salvador. Works well for families and couples, and for European and Latin American clients seeking rest on the Bahian coast after a cultural tour. Book in advance for the summer holidays and the year-end period.

Booking & policies
Are the prices shown net or retail?
Rates are net (wholesale) and reserved for travel agencies and tour operators, who sign in to see them and add their own margin. Public visitors see an indicative retail “from” price; the net rate is never shown outside the B2B Portal.
What happens after I book?
When you book, we receive your booking and start working on it: it shows as “In process” and we let you know of every update. Vouchers are sent once payments have been received.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations follow Clause 7 of the Terms: more than 30 days before the service, no penalty and a full refund; 15 to 30 days, 25%; 8 to 14 days, 50%; 3 to 7 days, 75%; less than 72 hours before commencement or a no-show, 100%. Certain destinations — Patagonia, the Amazon region and high-demand dates in peak season — apply stricter terms, stated in the quotation. The schedule above is indicative: the conditions that apply to each booking are those stated in the quotation, and may be stricter in high season, on public holidays or where a service has its own policy.
Can dates or passenger names be changed after booking?
Amendment requests must reach RUMBO LIBRE at least 72 business hours before the service begins. Changes are managed subject to availability, and any resulting rate difference applies. For private services, a name change may require re-issuing the booking at the current rate.
