The largest spectacle in the Amazon, in a river town whose capacity does not grow to receive it.

What it is

Two groups, Garantido in red and Caprichoso in blue, face each other on three consecutive nights in the Bumbódromo, an arena built for the purpose, with large-scale floats, mass choreography and an audience liturgy of its own — the stands are divided by colour. It is Amazonian folklore at stadium scale, with no equivalent elsewhere in the country.

What to offer

Parintins is sold from Manaus, which is the real gateway: two or three festival nights chained to three or four in an Amazon lodge, which also fall at the opening of the dry season and improve wildlife viewing. A client who buys the festival alone comes home with half a trip.

How it operates

Parintins is a small town with a fixed bed base: during the festival much of the accommodation is resolved on boats, and access is by river or by flight from Manaus. This is not colour detail — it is what defines the budget and the itinerary, and it should be explained to the client before closing.

When to book

Six to ten months ahead. Accommodation — on land or on board — and Bumbódromo seats commit long before the domestic flights, which are the next bottleneck.

No impact on congresses, but it works as an incentive for a small group that already knows Brazil and wants something that cannot be bought in Rio or São Paulo.
