Iguazú Falls travel guide
The falls are seen from two countries: the Brazilian side (based in Foz do Iguaçu) gives the sweeping panoramic view of the whole set, and the Argentine side (based in Puerto Iguazú) offers the walkways, the close-up viewpoints and a full day inside the park, including the Devil's Throat. For most visitors, it is best to see Brazil first, for the overall picture, and then Argentina, for the closer walk.

What to do in Iguazú
- The Argentine side's upper and lower circuits approx. 9 h A full day: this is the side you walk, and the one that justifies the second night.
- The Devil's Throat by ecological train approx. 3 h The park's most impressive point; go first thing or last.
- The Gran Aventura boat ride approx. 2 h The client gets genuinely wet: a change of clothes is an itinerary item, not a detail.
- The Brazilian side panorama approx. 5 h A half-day with a border crossing; the wide view the Argentine side does not give.
- The full-moon walk to the Devil's Throat approx. 3 h Five nights a month, in three departures a night; it sells out months ahead.
- The Wanda mines and the San Ignacio ruins approx. 9 h Semi-precious stone and a Jesuit mission; the day for a third night in the area.
- A Guaraní community visit approx. 3 h A short visit arranged with the community itself, inside the park.
Who to offer it to
When to go
March, April, August and September balance strong water flow, comfortable temperatures (20–30 °C) and manageable crowds. From mid-December to mid-February it is intensely hot, above 35 °C, and busier, though the flow is at its most spectacular.
How many days
Two days —one per side— is the norm. One day is enough to see a single side; three add the boat ride, the Bird Park or Itaipú.
What not to miss
The Upper and Lower Trails and the Devil's Throat on the Argentine side; the panoramic walk and the final walkways on the Brazilian side; the Bird Park next to the Brazilian entrance.
What to offer and why
Two nights on this side justify the full walkways plus the boat; with a single night the client sees the Devil's Throat and little else. The Brazilian panorama is added as a half-day and does not replace the Argentine side.
When to book
Four to eight weeks. For January, February and Holy Week, three to four months.
Practical and operational
The boat genuinely soaks the client, so plan a change of clothes and a dry bag. The crossing into Brazil takes half a day and needs a passport: do not stack it with an afternoon flight.

Are the prices shown net or retail?
Rates are net (wholesale) and reserved for travel agencies and tour operators, who sign in to see them and add their own margin. Public visitors see an indicative retail “from” price; the net rate is never shown outside the agency portal.
How is a booking confirmed?
Most bookings are confirmed immediately and the voucher is emailed within minutes. When a service shows “In process”, RUMBO LIBRE is confirming final availability with the receptive operator at destination — usually within 24 to 48 business hours.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations follow Clause 7 of the Terms: more than 30 days before the service, no penalty and a full refund; 15 to 30 days, 25%; 8 to 14 days, 50%; 3 to 7 days, 75%; less than 72 hours before commencement or a no-show, 100%. Certain destinations — Patagonia, the Amazon region and high-demand dates in peak season — apply stricter terms, stated in the quotation. The schedule above is indicative: the conditions that apply to each booking are those confirmed in the quotation, and may be stricter in high season, on public holidays or where a supplier applies its own policy.
Can dates or passenger names be changed after confirmation?
Amendment requests must reach RUMBO LIBRE at least 72 business hours before the service begins. Changes are managed with the receptive operator subject to availability, and any resulting rate difference applies. For private services, a name change may require re-issuing the booking at the current rate.
