PUERTO IGUAZÚ - ARGENTINA
A town in Misiones province, the base for the Cataratas del Iguazú on the Argentine side, with its walkways and the Garganta del Diablo. From here the Brazilian side of the falls is also reachable a short distance across the border, allowing both viewpoints to be combined in a single programme.
Downtown Puerto Iguazú holds hotels across categories with restaurants and services; the Selva Iryapú area gathers properties in a forest setting. A single hotel operates inside the Argentine park.
The park sits about 15 km from the airport (IGR). A minimum of two nights is advisable: a full day for the Argentine side and a half day for the Brazilian. April to May and September to October see lower visitor numbers.

Access Puerto Iguazú airport (IGR), about 17 km from town (20–30 min transfer) and around 10 km from the Iguazú National Park entrance (Argentine side of the falls).
Season A year-round subtropical destination. Water flow tends to be highest between December and March; drier months make the walkways easier.
