The day begins at the Buenos Aires ferry terminal, crossing the Río de la Plata towards the Uruguayan shore. After just over an hour of sailing, the boat reaches Colonia del Sacramento, a town of cobbled streets and colonial houses beside the water.

The guided visit covers the Barrio Histórico: the Calle de los Suspiros, the Puerta de la Ciudadela, the main square and the lighthouse overlooking the riverfront. There is free time to walk around the town before taking the return ferry. The route is accompanied by a guide.
