La Boca and San Telmo on Foot

Private walking tour of the La Boca and San Telmo neighbourhoods, with guide. On Sundays it coincides with the San Telmo fair along Defensa street.

The tour begins in La Boca, beside Caminito, where the sheet-metal façades painted in bright colours mark the origins of the port district. From there the route continues to San Telmo, one of the oldest neighbourhoods in the city, with its cobbled streets and nineteenth-century houses.

In San Telmo the route passes Plaza Dorrego and the antique shops on Defensa street. On Sundays that same street fills with the stalls of the fair between Plaza de Mayo and Parque Lezama, with artisans, antiques and open-air tango dancers.
