Maipú Winery Tour with Tasting
Full-day private excursion through the Maipú wine area near Mendoza, Argentina, with guide. Visits two wineries with guided tastings and an olive oil mill.
The day unfolds among the vineyards of Maipú, a band of wineries a few kilometres from the city of Mendoza, where the rows of vines stretch out with the Cordillera de los Andes outlined behind them. At each winery a guide leads the walk through the production halls and barrel rooms, explaining how grape becomes wine before the tasting of local varietals, with Malbec at the centre.
The route adds a stop at an olive oil mill, where regional oil is tasted alongside preserves and local breads. The drive from one winery to the next is short, so the day pairs unhurried tasting time with brief journeys along the department's rural roads.
