Cerro Catedral

Private half-day tour to Cerro Catedral in Bariloche, with guide. It follows Avenida Bustillo to the base of the ski resort, at around 1,000 metres.

Cerro Catedral is Bariloche's main mountain resort and owes its name to the rocky spires that recall the towers of a cathedral. The tour climbs along Avenida Bustillo and the shore of Lake Gutiérrez to the base, at around 1,000 metres, where the cafés, the village and the lifts come together.

Those who choose to go up take the Amancay gondola and then the Diente de Caballo chairlift to Punta Princesa, at around 1,927 metres, where the view opens onto Lake Nahuel Huapi, the town of Bariloche and the line of the Andes. In summer the summit gives access to short high-altitude trails; in winter it is the gateway to the ski slopes. The private service, accompanied by a guide, lets the time at the base adjust to the group's pace.
