Rafting on the Río Manso
Full-day rafting excursion on the Lower Río Manso, with Class III whitewater descent, with guide. Shared service, transfer from Bariloche included.
After the transfer from Bariloche, the day starts at the base on the Río Manso with the safety briefing and the handover of wetsuit, helmet and life jacket. The descent runs around 11 km of river with Class III rapids, alternating stretches of moving water with calmer pools between walls of Andean forest.
The river guide steers each raft, calls the paddle manoeuvres and orders the sections according to the day's water flow. Effective navigation is around two hours, with time to read the rapids before each run and to take in the mountain setting through which the Manso flows towards the border with Chile.
Operational notes
