End of the World Train and Tierra del Fuego National Park
Shared excursion of about 5 to 6 hours combining the End of the World Train and Tierra del Fuego National Park, with a guide. The train runs the final kilometres of the historic prison line.
The day begins at the End of the World Station, 8 km west of Ushuaia, where the steam train follows the same embankment travelled by prisoners over a century ago. The locomotive runs alongside the Río Pipo and crosses the Pico Valley and the Toro Gorge; at Macarena Station it makes a 15-minute stop with a panoramic view over the valley.
The train continues the final kilometres inside Tierra del Fuego National Park to National Park Station. From there, the visit carries on by land towards Bahía Lapataia and Ensenada Zaratiegui, accompanied by a guide who links the prison's history with the park's sub-Antarctic nature.
