Ushuaia City Tour and Prison Museum
Private tour of the city of Ushuaia with a visit to the Maritime and Prison Museum, with a guide. Covers the founding neighbourhoods and the viewpoints over the Beagle Channel.
The tour begins in the founding neighbourhoods of El Solier and La Misión, where the city's first sheet-metal houses still stand, and continues along the waterfront with viewpoints over the Beagle Channel and the mountains that close off the bay.
The visit stops at the Maritime and Prison Museum, housed in the former penitentiary where the prisoners who opened the region's roads were held. Walking through the wings, a guide links Ushuaia's prison history with the city's development and southern navigation. Travelling privately, the pace and time at each stop are adjusted to the passenger.
