Puerto Madryn city tour and EcoCentro
Private half-day city tour of Puerto Madryn with a visit to the EcoCentro, with guide. Covers the seafront, Punta Cuevas and the sea interpretation centre on the Golfo Nuevo.
The route follows the Puerto Madryn seafront along Avenida Roca, facing the Golfo Nuevo, passing the Piedrabuena pier and the Monument to the Welsh Landing, which recalls the arrival of the Welsh settlers in 1865. At Punta Cuevas the remains of the first dwellings of that settlement are preserved, beside a viewpoint with the Monument to the Tehuelche.
The visit ends at the EcoCentro, a Welsh-inspired building set on the coast, devoted to Patagonian marine life. Its rooms present the wildlife of the Golfo Nuevo, and from the viewing tower the view opens over the gulf and the Argentine Sea. A guide accompanies the tour through the city and the centre.
