Diving baptism and snorkelling with sea lions at Punta Loma

Nautical outing from Puerto Madryn to the Punta Loma protected area for snorkelling and a diving baptism alongside the sea lion colony, with guide. Includes navigation and wetsuit, fins and vest.

The activity sets off from the Puerto Madryn shore by boat towards Punta Loma, a journey of about 25 minutes over the waters of Golfo Nuevo. The protected area is home to a colony of single-haired sea lions that approach swimmers in the water.

In a wetsuit and accompanied by the instructor, snorkelling takes place in clear waters, with the sea lions observed at close range. Those who choose the diving baptism complete a short dive with autonomous equipment, guided step by step underwater.

Operational notes

Departure subject to sea conditions, confirmed the night before. The diving baptism option requires registration at least 24 hours in advance. Snorkelling suitable from age 6; diving baptism suitable from age 8. Guide included. Available languages to be coordinated at the time of booking.
