Kayaking and coastal wildlife viewing in Golfo Nuevo

Kayak crossing from the Puerto Madryn shore across Golfo Nuevo to the Punta Cuevas historic site, with guide and coastal wildlife viewing. Includes kayak equipment and life vest.

The crossing sets off from the Puerto Madryn beach and moves over the calm waters of Golfo Nuevo, with the city on one side and the open horizon on the other. The kayak allows you to approach coastal wildlife at close range: depending on the season, sea lions on the rocks, seabirds and, in season, southern right whales.

The route follows the coast to Punta Cuevas, where you land for a hydration break. Accompanied by a guide, you learn the history of the site, linked to the Welsh settlement of 1865.
