Classic Sacred Valley — Pisac and Ollantaytambo
Private full-day tour through the Sacred Valley to Pisac and Ollantaytambo, with guide. Covers the Pisac site and market and the Ollantaytambo fortress.
The route drops from Cusco towards the Sacred Valley and stops at the Taray viewpoint, where the Urubamba river is seen winding between the hills. The first stop is Pisac: high up, the farming terraces and stone enclosures climb the slope; down in the village, the market gathers textiles and pottery from the area.
After a lunch break on the valley floor, around Urubamba, the route continues to Ollantaytambo. There the fortress terraces rise in steps to the Temple of the Sun, with its large blocks of pink stone, while the village keeps its layout of streets and channels of Inca origin. Travelling privately, the visit times and the lunch break follow the group.
