Ollantaytambo — Inca Fortress

Private excursion to the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley, with guide. Admission to the archaeological site via Boleto Turístico is included.

After the hotel pick-up, the drive leads to Ollantaytambo, one of the few places in the Sacred Valley where the Inca urban layout survives, with its water channels still running between the cobbled streets.

Accompanied by a guide, the route climbs the terraced platforms to the Temple of the Sun, where six large pink-stone blocks fit their joints without mortar. From the upper platform, at 2,792 metres, the route overlooks the Urubamba valley and the town below, while opposite, on the far hillside, the old grain storehouses carved into the rock stand out.
