The outing begins with a boat trip along the Madre de Dios river, where capybaras appear on the banks, caimans and turtles rest on the logs, and water birds follow the course of the water.

On Monkey Island live several primate species saved from illegal trafficking and in the process of returning to the wild: capuchins, squirrel monkeys and tamarins, among others. Some approach with curiosity while the guide explains the work of the rescue centre and the behaviour of each species.
