Lagunas Escondidas de Baltinache

After leaving San Pedro de Atacama, the vehicle takes a dirt road for about an hour to the southeast, reaching a set of turquoise lagoons set into the desert. The water's high salt content lets you float effortlessly in the lagoon authorized for bathing.
The walk follows the edge of the remaining lagoons, protected and with no access to the water, over salt ground. The guide indicates the timings and the points where bathing is permitted, as well as the site's conservation rules.
