After nightfall, the vehicle moves away from the town to a point free of light pollution. With the desert sky clear, the guide traces the constellations to the naked eye with a laser pointer and explains what stands above the horizon.

Then, through telescopes, clusters, nebulae and planets appear depending on the time of year. The session ends with a hot drink in the open air. The number of visible objects and the duration depend on the moon phase and the sky's clarity that night.
