Puerto Varas, Frutillar and Lake Llanquihue
Private tour along the shores of Lake Llanquihue, with guide, visiting Puerto Varas and Frutillar. Covers the German settlement architecture and the Teatro del Lago.
The tour follows the shore of Lake Llanquihue, the second largest in Chile. In Puerto Varas, facing the waterfront, stands the Iglesia del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, built in wood in the early 20th century. In Frutillar, the lower town keeps the wooden houses of the German settlers who arrived from 1856, and by the shore stands the Teatro del Lago, a concert hall opened in 2010 facing the water.
The tour is accompanied by a guide, with stops to walk along the shore and, on clear days, see the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes across the lake.
