Balmaceda and Serrano Navigation — Última Esperanza fjord
Shared full-day navigation along the Última Esperanza fjord to the Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers from Puerto Natales, with guide. Includes a guided walk to the face of the Serrano glacier.
The day begins with boarding in the Puerto Bories sector and the navigation along the Última Esperanza fjord, between mountains, waterfalls and estancias, with cormorants and other Patagonian birds present along the route. By mid-morning the catamaran reaches the Balmaceda glacier sector, which descends from the Southern Patagonian Ice Field down to the water.
In the Serrano glacier sector, a guided walk of about one hour crosses native forest to the glacier face and its lagoon with icebergs. The return along the fjord closes a full day of navigation between Puerto Natales and the glaciers.
