Walk along the five praias and the Farol with guide

Walking tour along the five beaches of Morro de São Paulo and up to the Farol, with guide. A route through the village, the viewpoints and the run of beaches of Ilha de Tinharé.

The route starts in the village and climbs the trail that begins in front of the Igreja Nossa Senhora da Luz up to the Farol, built between 1848 and 1855; to its right, the viewpoint opens onto the pale-sand beaches, the coconut groves and the village. From there the walk descends to the Primeira Praia, the smallest, where those coming down by zip line land.

The route follows the wooden boardwalk of the Segunda Praia, between guesthouses and restaurants, and continues to the calmer Terceira and Quarta Praia, as far as the Quinta Praia, nearly deserted before Garapuá. The guide times the crossing of the sand stretches with a favourable tide.

Operational notes

The crossing between the Quarta and Quinta Praia depends on the tide; at high tide the river can reach waist height. Guide included; languages available to be arranged at the time of booking. Morro de São Paulo is a car-free island: the route and hotel pick-up are made on foot.
