The transfer leaves Recife along the southern coast road and reaches Porto de Galinhas about an hour later. The pale-sand beach and calm water set the pace of the day.

At low tide a sailing jangada heads out to the reefs: the crossing takes about ten minutes and the boat stays between thirty and forty-five minutes over the natural pools, where the water reaches waist height and fish and corals can be seen with a snorkel. The rest of the day is free for the beach and the village.
