Ahu Tongariki at Sunrise
Private excursion to Ahu Tongariki on Isla de Pascua at sunrise, with guide. Early hotel pick-up to reach the platform before the sun rises.
Before sunrise, the drive follows the east coast for about 35 minutes to Ahu Tongariki. The platform, 22 metres long, aligns 15 moai facing the ocean.
As the sun rises behind the figures, the silhouettes stand out against the sky and the outline of the moai gradually gains definition. In the company of a guide, the visit also allows a look at the Papa Tataku Poki petroglyphs, hard to make out in midday light.
Operational notes
The pick-up time is set to the sunrise hour according to the season. Visibility of the sunrise depends on sky conditions. The Rapa Nui National Park entry ticket is required and must be purchased in advance. Guide included. Available languages to be coordinated at the time of booking.
