Huayna Picchu Mountain — Ascent
Ascent of Huayna Picchu mountain with guide, combined with the citadel tour along the circuit giving access to the route. Admission with assigned entry time is included.
The day combines the citadel tour with the ascent of Huayna Picchu mountain, the peak that closes the sanctuary to the north. The trail climbs carved stone steps, with narrow stretches and a few exposed passages, to a summit at around 2,700 metres from where the citadel lies far below and the Urubamba river traces its curve around the hill.
The ascent shift is fixed on the ticket and the daily quota is small. Accompanied by a guide, the pace adjusts to the gradient and the stops at the natural viewpoints along the way.
