After the sanctuary tour, the town of Aguas Calientes offers a quiet close at the foot of the mountains, between the Urubamba river and the vegetation-covered slopes. A few minutes on foot from the centre, the thermal baths complex gathers several pools of sulphurous water, with temperatures between 38 °C and 46 °C depending on the pool.

The facilities are simple and the setting is one of humid mountains. The time in the water helps recover the legs after the sanctuary walks, before the return by train.

Operational notes

The thermal baths have rustic infrastructure and footfall is high at the close of the sanctuary day. Bring a towel and swimwear; on-site rental is limited. Groups of more than 3 passengers: SUV or Minivan.
