Lima Food Tour
Private food tour of Lima with guide, through markets and a cevichería. Includes a tasting of Peruvian fruits, ceviche and pisco sour.
The tour goes into the Surquillo Market, where the stalls display fruit from Peru's three regions: lúcuma, chirimoya and granadilla from the coast and the highlands, alongside Amazonian fruits such as aguaje and camu camu, tasted as you go.
The next stop is a neighbourhood cevichería, where you watch fresh fish being cut and marinated in leche de tigre with lime, chilli and onion. The tasting closes with a pisco sour, shaken with pisco, lime juice, syrup and egg white. The tour moves among stalls and open kitchens, in direct contact with the people preparing each dish.
